Still hang out with my croissant

I'm still handle with my croissant. The main reason is probably because i had the occasion to work on it several time during the last years.

Then, last year i remember i needed a sketch of croissant for a package. A kind of short and simple manual to explain to the user how to cook the croissant. As i was a worse designer than i am now. I bought a beautiful cartoon-clip art on internet.

I just discover that it exists an interesting photoshop filter: sketch filter which allow to transform the same croissant i posted before into this:

Of course, i manipulated a bit the colors and posterize to obtain 4 colours. It is strange as here it seems a 2color image.

Finally, it shows that it is possible to give a "drawing illusion" to real picture. Indeed, it is not the same render than a real drawing but it can be useful for people who are mediocre draftsman.

Keep in mind that sometimes abstraction is not really appropriate. In this case, you want to show the viewer a really yummy, flakey delicious croissant... why not use an un-filtered picture, close up so that the texture and flakiness and goldenness is dominant in the picture.
