'wasted beauty' - an ART flash site

Though flash sites are quite familiar with us, I'm SURE that this flash site will impress you the first time you see it, just like I did. The first reason that makes this flash site stands out from others is that it was done with mainly PAPER PENCIL & ACTION SCRIPTS, only a little photoshop was applied.

The site is a gallery of pencil arts (which is converted into animated flash) of the site author.

Firstly when you visit the site, you will be ANNOYED by the loading speed... But please be patient...
Somehow, the artistic loading screen will impress you with the flying moths & the 'pencil-stained paper' background.

After a couple of minutes waiting, you will be impressed again by the site's design.

Simply elegant with the pencil drawing look, the artistic layout gives the viewer a melancholy & somewhat mysterious feeling. Even the details are done carefully in details. Such as the flowers navigator, the zoom-in tool (in the gallery) and even the ladybug crawling around.

Main parts of the site:
- 2 galleries with 19 pieces of drawings
- scribbles: draft pieces
- mise: linking banner, screensavers, etc.
- sound: to control volumn (which is also carefully done with action scripts)
- about: the concepts, etc. (with a movable moth & when you click at the 'paper' the words fade away - I don't know what those things are for, anyway)
Anyway, I've visited this website a couple of times, though this site is not updated. Maybe simply because I'm attracted by it somehow.

Take a look at it:

impressive... it is my feeling when i take a look at it. as you say, waiting is a problem; however, i think it worth it. i also think that that website is not only impressive due to its beauty and masterstroke, but its meaning. i feel that the author wants to reveal his feeling about relationship between human and nature in his own way. most pictures in that website include human and tree. these pieces are also special, people are thin (like starvation) and trees are wither and without leaves. i feel that these pictures reveal the sadness of the author about the relationshio between human and nature being worse.

Yeah!
I agree with Chau, this is a really impressive site.
Althought the sound make me quite scared.
The design is really related to the art works.
The idea for this site is so great.

PS: Further more, the "about" part is interesting. We can erase the text on, except the butterfly. But I still don't know what is it for! ^^

PS 2 ^^: I think the designer just makes it for his work at that time, then left. So it was not updated ^^.
How could you find this website?

"WOW"..........that's the first word I can said when I've seen this web. It really interesting me.
As you said that this web is took along time to access but I think it's doesnt matter, it's bring the viewers come to these pictures slowly but efectively.
Each of those pictures have their own soul. Some of them express the sorrow, lonelyness but the others show the emptiness,cruel.....
One more thing I wanna say is the picture frame is attractive which brings me getting inside the dead land, a place of hell....
